cannot find the official source stating this but vrc does not want world bans because they believe every user should be able to go to any world they want without interference

This is referring to a DJ event disallowing the use of OSC chatboxes that obstruct view and shows the person GPU/CPU temp and what they're listening to on Spotify.

This is distinctly not anywhere close to how DRM works.
DRM is for preventing piracy, NFTs are described as being "proof of ownership" via provenance.
