Watching the Hegseth confirmation hearings is unbearable. I check in, and listen to what I can, but it’s pretty fucking traumatic to watch that smug face lie. It’s like listening to Trump. I can’t do it. Disgusting predators.

I’m fairly convinced there will not be many deportations, but folks taken to prisons and camps.

We are still going to need undocumented labor, and the only way you can legally enslave someone in the US is to incarcerate them and force their labor.

If the GOP really is good for the economy, why is Missouri the way it is?

We have had a GOP supermajority for 22 years. Are we still waiting it for it to trickle down or what?

I don’t feel compassion for Trump voters.

Rural people don’t equate to Trump voters. I think we need to be working in rural areas because strategically, we can win elections by getting 3% more of them to vote. When you hear me speak of rural people, I’m not talking about Trumpers.

I don’t use flowery language or bullshit to talk about rural issues and how Democrats can make inroads that will help us win statewide and national elections. Rural: Don’t think farmers, think working folks.

I talk about engaging rural folks because I know there is opportunity in rural spaces. If Democrats will just spend time and resources there…if we build the infrastructure in the off years, we can win. We don’t have to flip rural districts— just get 5% more rural folks to vote for Dems. Then we win.
