Columbia Protesters and Gaza

Our universities are far from perfect institutions- but resisting fascism requires a strong civil society, so we need to defend their autonomy from government edicts which seek to control what people teach and what subjects professors and students focus their research on

I don’t feel like I am living in a dictatorship.

I feel like I am living in a toxic environment produced by would be dictators who can’t achieve their ultimate goal. but are willing to inflict unimaginable pain in a desperate effort to get there

Do not concede defeat.

They are not going to win.

Will historians of the future say:
“The liberal arts, and the historic mission of great universities, died at Columbia without a whimper.”
Is there any resistance to what just happened?
Where are the leaders?
If Columbia held out longer, it would have given other universities time to prepare
