I lived there (too many) years ago and we were back recently for the markets, so I might be able to help?

They might not need transponders either? Not sure what the requirements are over there, but it would make it harder to see online.

You need to look in Europe and England, they're a lot more common there for some reason

Workbench has been converted to a sink! It will stay dry for now but is set up for plumbing whenever that happens

Putting the portable bathroom darkroom through its paces

To try to keep the dust down (and since I can't close up the ceiling), I vacuumed the floor joists and the underside of the subfloor/basement ceiling. The wood visibly changed color as a hundred years of dirt was removed.

It fits!

Second bench is done - this is the same basic design as the first one, but shorter and with a basin built on top. This will become the darkroom sink once it's sealed up.

First bench is done, and it fits just about perfectly! This is the workbench plan from the EAA, modified to fit the space. Little bit of finish work and I'll start moving stuff in.

More paint! Black for the dry (enlarger) side, white for the wet side.

Starting to paint! It's beginning to feel like a real space.

Also check out this creative/janky solution to the ductwork. Metal flashing cut halfway into "fingers" so it can conform around the duct and taped in place with high temp duct tape.

I am calling the plastering officially done!

I got two quotes to do the plumbing and they were both over 3x the total cost of the project this far, so I think running water might not happen for a while. I can always add it later.

Walls are all up, plastering is going apace. Starting to find where the light leaks are and plugging them up.

Got it twice last year and once already this year - in March! My skin is still a little discolored from that one

This is how I'm dealing with all the notches I needed to cut out of the drywall to fit the existing pipes that weren't going to move. Self adhesive patch tape cut to fit around the obstruction, then plastered in.
