Well, I think we saved this little guy today. We wrapped him up to keep him warm, after finding him on the ground stunned and cold and not moving. But keeping him warm seemed to help enough that he came back to life and flew off. Called animal control, but as always, they're basically unresponsive.

I didn't do any polishing or anything and was able to make this in seconds. (Note: it's not intended to be good, just playing around until I have all the shortcuts memorized.)

Here at Chez La Nugs', I attempted to make Aaron and Claire's mapo tofu recipe, but, lacking doubanjiang, I switched and used gochujang, and gochugaru (I like it spicy). It turned out much sweeter, and not spicy almost at all, despite also adding ground, toasted Sichuan peppercorn, but it's amazing.

I had to Scooby Do it tonight. Happy to say they were the best burgers I've ever made - did them as smash burgers and used my partner's In-and-Out burger sauce. Perfection.

Considering another job just fell through due to ridiculous circumstances out of my control, my new Lord of the Rings mug I got for Xmas feels bizarrely appropriate. I'm pretty upset: I was uniquely suited for the position and extremely talented in the language used. Oh well - back to the job board.

Fixing bugs this morning with GodotFirebase. Luckily, I received a pic of my brand-new niece who has my same hairstyle! (Niece not shown, for safety reasons. But CRAP! Heard BlueSky was filled with weird uncles, am _I_ the weird uncle!? But knowing she's alive and healthy brings me peace.)
