Someday, someone will tell me to get serious with my slides.

That day was not Saturday.

Many thanks to the Maine Classical Association for inviting me to present on my research at their fall meeting this past weekend!

After a very long day of travel, I'm looking forward to giving this paper tomorrow morning! It's a new foray for me into some Early Christian material (even if it does begin with myth). If you're at #CAAS2025, I'd love to see you!

I’ll be sharing some of my research on epichoric Maenad myth in Argos in what is looking to be a very interesting #AIASCS Myth panel tomorrow morning (Sunday, 8:00am)!

It is early, but I’ll have slides *and* a handout. Please consider joining us!

At CAAS 2024 and looking for some recommendations? I’ll be kicking off the session on Greco-Roman Art and Architecture at 2:30pm this afternoon with a paper on Amazon Monument and Myth in Athens. I would love to see you there!

One of the best views I’ve had from a conference hotel (excepting DLF 2018 in Las Vegas). Not a bad way to kick of CAAS 2024, and not a bad place to make last-minute adjustments to my slides.

What better way to prep a paper on Dionysus than with a skin-contact Sauvignon Blanc? (This is a seriously divine wine).

My favorite thing about Hermes is that he will boop my nose if he thinks I’m not paying enough attention to him.

LESBIANTIQUITY, a project that I've been a small part of, is officially live and will be updating weekly through 2024!

This zine-anthology of Greek & Latin writings aims to present all surviving texts from classical antiquity that depict homosexual or homoerotic activity between women. (1/)

Come hear me attempt to collect my (many) thoughts on Maenad myth, meaning, and local significance in Argos at CAAS tomorrow (10/7) at 8:00 am.

I was very excited to find Maenad imagery at the Penn Museum this evening.

Sad to hear about the Sycamore Gap tree (www.bbc.com/news/uk-engl...). Strange to think that I took some of the last pictures of it this summer.

I found myself scrolling through reviews of the local Starbucks, and let’s just say that I have questions (and concerns).

I can’t help but wonder what our librarians make of my requesting sources on Indigenous methodologies for my dissertation on Greek mythology.

I am also humbly asking for the incorporation of more vibrance in the cover design of Classics texts.

I expressed my personal feelings about “think, pair, share” to my ILiADS 2023 project team today. They produced this:
