For as he rests there gently
waist powdered, butt padded
The plushie had whispered
to the pup's situation, it added

scrambling downstairs in a rush,
the puppy stood in silence
a nervous gulp and deep blush.

The changing mat awaits him
his cousin giggling to the side
the patchwork plushie he holds tightly
gives him no cover to hide
