I've been told sacking Ange doesn't solve anything, but is he really up for scrapping at the lower end of the table? Has he ever done such a thing before? Does he have the tactical tools to make it happen? Genuinely aware of the risk of a free fall into relegation.

Devine destined to fall into the Harry Winks/Tom Carrol/Ryan Mason genre of useful, likable, but unremarkable midfielders imho.

NEW: "What We Did On Our Summer Vacation, featuring Rick Steves." We talk with the beloved travel writer and TV host about why Americans love visiting European cities but can't seem to support the things that make them liveable back home. Plus, responsible tourism. thewaroncars.org/2024/09/03/1...

I have to think having a 9 who could offer an aerial threat would've changed the game at Newcastle. Very curious about how Solanke will impact the way we play against stodgy, stuffy, sticky low blocks. Enjoying our early evolution this season, despite results. #coys #thfc

Sonny brace at Sports Direct Stadium at St. James' Oil and Gas Emporium on Sunday. Calling it.

Newcastle away a litmus test for me. Have we steeled our mentality? How will Ange adapt over time with a more profile-rich squad at his disposal?

Is Solanke out? Really?

What in the world is happening at Chel$ea? They just gave Sterling and Chalobah's numbers to two other players. Both are still at the club. Toxic workplace anyone? Love to see it. Hopefully the internal complexities lead to poor on field results.

🐓 With the start of the season on the horizon, we ask the question just how optimistic should we be? Can Solanke fire us into a title race? And what does success actually look like? #COYS

Odobert a very shrewd fit. Both footed dribbler who commits defenders early and sees the pitch. Profile is good for squad depth and he will surely be hungry to impress. Givea Moore time to develop and competition for Johnson and Deki. I am optimistic. #Coys #thfc

So it'll be Bentancur/Saar/Madders in the midfield opening match.

My formative conclusions from preseason:
-Dragusin/Davies far off levels of Cuti/VDV to play Ange's style.
-Spence *can be the inverted fullback depth required
-Solanke is a necessary element as much for pressing and holdup play as for potential goals
-Bentancur ahead of Gray as 6 rotation
