Interesting. From what i read it seems that towed guns have become more popular due to being easier to hide, artillery is now second to drones as a source of casualties (not by doctrinal choice) and Russian counter battery has improved a lot compared to its bad state in 2022/2023.

The environment even up to 30km from the flc is so hostile that their main defence is no artillery being able to shoot at its target for longer than a couple of minutes before Russian counter battery/loitering munitions finds them. They might only get 3 shots out before they have to pull back.

What are your thoughts on a potential invasion of Taiwan getting closer and closer? The PLAN is growing at basically wartime mobilization speed, especially amphibious forces, and the Russians are training the PLA in airborne capabilities, one of the last fields that the PLA hasn't learned from them.
