I received these at the first Earth Day 55 years ago. My HS science class walked to a nearby Park to clean it up. The focus was on students. Organized by Senator Nelson and environmentalist Dennis Hayes, the event saw 20 million Americans participate, showcasing a widespread concern for the planet.
