Artists feel pressured to make new art too quickly at the moment. Normalise artists fucking disappearing for months. Just walk off into the woods for a year and come back with a single sketch. It’s good for you

replies felt weirdly discouraged on twitter (at least to me) but I really recommend getting back into the habit of telling artists directly when you like their stuff. not even in an engagement farming way, it just feels nice. nobody's day is going to be worse hearing that you like their work

I have noticed that some of the smaller and bigger #artcommunity has a hard time loveing thair art and wanting to make things "Perfect" take this as a pie. You make the pie and put in whatever filling you want but not every one is gonna like it and that's ok for you should focuse on people who do 💙

Also, I don't tape my art anymore since the tape tears the paper, so I just measure out the margins by 1/2 in (depending on the size).
