Aztecs meet Nevada tonight as 3 point underdogs. Huge game for the Aztecs after a couple down performances have put them on the tournament bubble. Nevada is coming off a blowout loss at Utah State.

Aztecs crush over Cal 71-50 after facing numerous travel delays into San Jose and getting into town just a few hours before the game. Impressive rebounding for then Aztecs, a huge improvement since their last game. Next up is a big home conference game against Utah St on Saturday.

Aztecs dispatch crosstown foe USD 74-57. Boyd led the team with 17 and Miles Heide had a career night with 8 pts and 9 boards. SDSU and Utah St were the only 2 Mountain West teams to not take awful losses today. The league may only be a 2 bid league come March.

Aztecs getting ready to kick off a cross town match against USD as 24 pt favorites. SDSU will be carrying the conference again this season. New Mexico losing to NMSU, Nevada losing to Loyola Marymount, and Colorado St losing to Colorado. Potentially lots of bad losses for the conference today.
Magoon Gwath has a big impact in his first Mountain West Conference game with 25 pts and 10 reb as the Aztecs down Fresno St 84-62 on the road. SDSU has a showdown with USD at home on Saturday.

Aztecs head to Fresno for the first Mountain West game of the season. SDSU are 13 point favorites for the 7:30pm game tonight. The move to a 20 game schedule for the conference unfortunately leads to these very early league games and reduction in non-conference games.

After a great week at the Players Era Tournament, SDSU slots in at #24 in this week’s AP poll.
Oregon beats #9 Alabama 83-81 to win the Players Era Tournament. The Power side (SDSU’s side) of the tournament won all 4 games against the Impact side on the final day. Aztecs finish 3rd & earn $1.15 mil in NIL funds. With 3 OT games and high level play made this most exciting Thanksgiving tourney.

Oregon beats #9 Alabama 83-81 to win the Players Era Tournament. The Power side (SDSU’s side) of the tournament won all 4 games against the Impact side on the final day. Aztecs pull out a 73-70 thriller in OT to beat #6 Houston. Aztecs have a big 2nd half come back to finish the tournament in 3rd place and get 2 Quad 1 wins that will certainly help our case come March. Looks like the Mountain West will run through San Diego once again.

Aztecs pull out a 73-70 thriller in OT to beat #6 Houston. Aztecs have a big 2nd half come back to finish the tournament in 3rd place and get 2 Quad 1 wins that will certainly help our case come March. Looks like the Mountain West will run through San Diego once again.

Aztecs fall to Oregon 78-68 in what was essentially the semi-final of the Players Era Tournament. They will be in the 3rd place game Saturday as long as Texas A&M doesn’t win by 18 or more today. Oregon dominated the offense glass and the Aztecs couldn’t shut down Bamba.

Oregon defeats #20 Texas A&M 80-70. Tomorrow at 1pm, San Diego State will face Oregon with the winner advancing to the Players Era Title game.

Aztecs come away with a 71-53 win over Creighton. Pull away after a close first half. Aztecs limited Kalkbrenner and Creighton couldn’t hit 3’s. BJ Davis puts up another impressive performance. Sets up SDSU for a high quality 3rd game after an 18 point win, point differential is a main tiebreaker.
