The problem is that trans people are really angry that it seems that whenever an organisation is threatened by the bigots, it chooses to throw trans people under the bus instead of fighting, and I think that yesterday the anger boiled over when these orgs folded like wet paper towels.

Funnily enough the judgement actually takes that claim and shows that, even under that fictional premise that trans women were as prone to sexual assault as cis men, any woman would be 24 times more likely to be assaulted by a cis woman than a trans woman.

There is a reason that one-way mirrors are always between an illuminated room and a dark room.
...I guess you could also go with a black-painted mesh or sieve in front of the glasses, but that only works at a distance and does disrupt your FoV.

Yeah, that part's difficult. Best you can do are partially reflective mirror coatings, but those can't really be made to adjust on the fly... At least not at light intensities that won't destroy human eyes.
