In 2008 I took an international trip and someone joked to me that I was going to be rejected by customs because my hair was a different color than my passport pic, and i think that was more of a "i hope i get to do this for real" than a joke.

shoutout to the 6ft guys in lycra using the painted bike gutter, i would personally rather be yelled at for using the sidewalk than count on my ability to tank damage against a car but that's probably cuz i'm short.

if someone's argument against bikes is that they still use metal/rubber/plastic so actually using a car is the same thing, that person needs to take a middle school science class and learn to measure volumes and weights again. you do not have to take them seriously no matter how angry they are.

the other week we biked by the brewery adjacent to the park, and didn't see any bike racks, so instead of 2 more customers they got 2 people awkwardly snooping around the parking lot and then leaving.

it's the end of february and the #temperatureblanket project is going ok i guess, but i realized yesterday just how much i'm going to regret this when it's 30 degrees hotter for 5 months straight. and i'm starting my bike club tomorrow AAAAAAAA trying hard at stuff is so stressful but i can do it aa
