The right is incapable of seeing their own hypocrisy. We should stop pretending they do. One thing I’ve been trying to focus on in my community organizing work is crafting a message of what a better world can and should look like.

I think it would make a lot more sense for us to have an honest conversation about how to win back blue votes leading up to the midterms than trying to vote shame people. Vote shaming just does not seem like a winning strategy and neither is “we are not as bad” as Republicans.

As someone who has been begrudgingly thinking of coming back to the Democratic Party, it’s pretty off putting that Democrats are more interested in schadenfreude than they are in understanding the reason behind why the Democrats lost so much support.

I’m Muslim & voted Green for the last 14 years with the exception of voting for Biden in 2016. No regrets. I would like to know what is achieved with posts like this. Wouldn’t it make more sense to try to win back those Muslim blue votes than mock them?

Actually just came across your account last night! How has your experience been at a CU? I work for banks but have always been fascinated by CUs from an ideological perspective. I’m curious how the day to day experience is though for CU workers if you don’t mind sharing.
