… like with cars. Insurance companies do not screw around hedging risks, and a Sandy Hook sized payout will have them solving gun proliferation problems REAL fast.

I say this as someone that shoots competitively and owns many firearms, including NFA items like suppressors and SBRs.

… laws to restrict mass proliferation and accessibility. Clearly we should improve mental health resources, independent of their impact on gun violence, as well. Without the data to assess, I’m personally a fan of extending liability to owners/sellers/makers and requiring insurance for purchases…

Look, I have a strong dislike for Trump and MAGA, but let’s not act like ANY of that was impacting gun violence.

We need hard science, research, and data (all federal funding for research has been blocked by prior R’s) and we need it like ten years ago. We likely need commercial (not consumer)…

It should be THE central message of the Democratic 2026 campaign. Slap it on every poster. Nothing else. “He says it’s affordable now, we say it’s not. We’re going to try to make it affordable. Maybe we can’t. Who knows. But we know it’s not affordable NOW. They don’t.”

Like… since the first term.

You think he pardoned Lil Wayne because he’s a fan of the music?

What the hell happened in that meeting?

Bracing myself for the 3rd generational bag fumble.

Every campaign centerpiece and national messaging should be “Affordability.” 1.) It drives the opposition nuts, 2.) it’s being brazenly lied about, and 3.) every person can assess those claims, regardless of education or background.

Maybe it was my age, maybe inexperience, maybe nostalgia lenses, but Eternal Darkness was perhaps the greatest game I’ve ever played.

I don’t want to spoil for anyone who might play it (even now, 20+ years later), but the meta horror events blew my mind. Will never forget it.

Man, I like Swalwell, but stop it. Victory laps are for AFTER you win, not before.

Acting like Democrats haven’t missed a layup in the past 10 years isn’t going to shake the nerves I’m feeling. I am wholly dependent on this clownshow that I actively dislike to beat the bigger clownshow I hate.

Schrödinger’s Epstein Files: simultaneously harmful to Trump’s presidency and containing nothing harmful about Trump at the same time.

That don’t impress me much.

Doesn’t really feel like Schumer’s cabal cares either.

Unless you’ve been asleep for the past 10 months, nothing short of Trump publicly committing to the vote would make it happen. Pretending otherwise is either stupid, disingenuous, or both. 🤷‍♂️

*I* don’t need the ACA… but my fellow Americans do.

I mean, it’s almost worse if it went down like he said. You’re the Senate Minority Leader- are you just THAT bad at your job?

I can’t understand how he doesn’t see that he’s creating the strongest anti-Trump branding possible right now.

If you’re anti-Trump, THIS is the campaign. D’s stumble trying to explain *how* they’ll make things affordable (MAGA never tries to explain “how”). “AFFORDABILITY” full stop. That’s it.

Yo dawg, check the tariff shelf. I’ve heard there’s tons of money laying around there.

Some of us have actually read his “constitutional scholarship,” (his amicus brief in Texas v Pennsylvania), and TBF, I’m not sure he’s actually read the Constitution.

Schumer and Jeffries have the rare blend of “don’t rock the boat” broad appeal and good-faith bipartisan policy agenda that will propel the Democrats to success in 2006 and beyond!

Lewis, 41- playing professional football.

Me, 42- lost a quarter inch in vertebral disc height from carrying a Yeti cooler a few miles. Two weeks later, it still takes me an extra second for my back to fully hinge upright when standing up.
