I am so proud to have Evers as my governor.
Last night, the Trump Administration sent a letter suggesting Wisconsin should return our FoodShare payments.

We tried to show them after the last surrender. There's no sense in trying to convince them anymore. Primaries are the only path to a fighting opposition party now.

I have been saying this for ages.
If "AI" was as valuable as they say it is, they wouldn't be selling it to you. They'd be using it themselves in secret to make the next Minecraft, the next Avatar, the next Hello Kitty and then they'd sell that to you.

They're trying to sell you a sick goose, while pretending it lays golden eggs.

Hi! I'm alive. I'm exhausted, both mentally and physically. This summer has been rough, and my health has decided to throw yet another curveball my way. But I'm here and reading all your posts and exciting news. So keep sharing your joy even in all the chaos, okay?

It's easy to be overwhelmed with the flood of awful ... Well, everything.

Please take a moment to pause, breathe, and find one thing that brings you joy, if for only a moment.

In times of performative cruelty, choosing happiness is an act of resistance.

Thank you Mildred and Richard Loving. Because of you, I am happily married to the love of my life. This month, we will celebrate 16 years of marriage. I am grateful to you for making sure our races were not a legal barrier.

58 years ago today, the Supreme Court ruled on the side of our clients Mildred and Richard Loving, legalizing interracial marriages nationwide.

This Loving Day, we honor the generations of families who were torn apart by anti-miscegenation laws and celebrate the couple that changed history.

Me in January: "I'm re-committing to a healthier lifestyle! I'm going to get back into dance and develop an exercise regimen so I can strengthen up my muscles!"

My body: "Cool! Remember that random, totally unserious injury from 2 years ago? I'm going to make that a problem."

It's really easy to be skeptical since there are so many less-than-savory rackets running around. But there are truly good humans out there like June. People who find happiness through lifting others up, through helping others succeed. Lighting the candles of others makes the whole room brighter.
I understand the skepticism. It's gotta be some sort of a scam or there's gotta be an underlying something-or-other that he's running.

Indeed. It's happiness.

In a lot of ways, I'm selfish. I want my happiness. While it is about the actors and their paths forward, at the end of the day, from my

A friendly reminder that in these times of performative cruelty, being kind is an act of resistance. Loving yourself, treating people like fellow humans, and cheering others on are all great ways to protest the dehumanizing rhetoric coming from the wannabe dictators.

I love how I get the wildest, most exciting ideas in the shower....and then they drift away in the mist as soon as the water turns off.

It's a weird sort of loneliness, being surrounded by people, but feeling alone. Being asked for an opinion, then spoken over. Gushing about something I love to be met with complete silence. Such is the nature of existence.

I've started typing out a message and deleted the words about 15 times now but I guess I'll just say... I'm tired and my mental health is not good. Dance is keeping me going, but pain is also a companion. Hoping to avoid yet another surgery.

The FBI arrested a sitting Milwaukee county judge for "helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest" or that's what they're saying. Because "they believe" she told them the wrong place to go on purpose. Uh huh.

Sigh. Having one of those days where the choice paralysis is very strong. Do I follow path A? Path B? Abandon all hope and try to escape and develop a path C? Ugh.

This whole thread is great, but I'd like to add my two cents - something that has been really bothering me since the dessicated brainworm-controlled, skinbag opened his mouth - this line of thinking is part of a larger narrative. One that only sees humans as valuable if we are "productive"....
We need to talk about RFK Jr.’s recent comments on autism. He said: “These are kids who will never pay taxes. They’ll never hold a job. They’ll never play baseball. They’ll never write a poem. They’ll never go out on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted.”

My husband finds computer programming fun. He's a senior developer, and no one tries to get away with not paying him because he enjoys his job. It's so gross to undervalue artists simply because there's this idea that art is "fun" and therefore "artists don't deserve to live comfortably."
The frostiest of takes, I know, but your job having the potential to be fun doesn't mean you don't deserve a respectable wage for doing it.

Anyway, creatives are chronically underpaid next to their peers in basically every field and I just think that's garbage.

Undervaluing art is loser behavior.

This is horrific.
Chasten and I are relieved that Governor Shapiro and his family are safe. While we wait to learn more, this much is clear: the targeting of a public official and his family - especially a prominent Jewish official on a major Jewish holiday - is unconscionable and has no place in our country.

I mean, this sounds like a sound experiment. We should test this hypothesis.
i know people say autism can't be cured because it's not a disease but i think we should try curing it by giving every autistic person five million dollars in cash

So in some non-existential dread news, I am trying to recommit myself to the arts in all forms. It's not easy doing this as an adult, but whoo boy do I need it
