This reminds me of a powerful quote I’ve seen reposted here… we need to be open to calling out ALL forms of rape. It’s rape to force a child to have a baby. It’s rape to deny access to abortion. It’s rape, by definition, to deny anyone autonomy over their own body for any reason!

Virgie Tovar is in the news again and the negative responses only prove her point: fatness isn’t about health. It’s about stigma, respect, and people feeling they have the right to comment on how others live life and perceive themselves. Virgie is going to crush it as SF’s Weight Stigma Czar!!
