Once upon a time, my journals were the place where I processed things like this & it feels like a gift from my mom to be writing again and in a good place when this happened. Also happened to have massage & facial booked today. They had reached out to me to make the appt. Feels like my mom’s hand.

I was really wanting to stay in a cabin for a weeklong digital detox but turns out I don't REALLY need it. I am able to complete a good portion of it and gain insights at home by cutting down. I wish social media had been taken from my hands a decade ago - or never put in them to begin with.

And I’m talking about myself with this too—not doing the work to connect IRL. How many good conversations have I missed because I texted instead of phoned? How many misunderstandings could have been cleared up by just hearing the tone of someone’s voice? How many hurt feelings could have healed?
