Yeah, I also think we’re entering an era where some businesses will engage in costly signaling in order to build expertise/appear hip to this new ai thing, i.e. they’re willing to lose candidates to their expensive and cringe ai interviewer so they only hire people who think it’s neat, actually.

You’d burn through your BeyondPresence tokens pretty fast running it all day but if you own hardware or are committed to leaning into AI it’s probably not worse than fully-loaded salaries for n recruiters.

I’m gonna try TDD as my de facto way of writing code w/ AI for a bit. It seems like if you have them write the tests absent the code, they write strong tests. If you give them the code to write tests against, they reward hack pretty consistently.

It turns out instead of taking an oath on the tennis court not to disband you can just disband and play tennis on it instead.

what are some examples of clients that I should check out for that?

I still think someone should build a wrapper that sits in front of all of your MCP servers and lets you check off exactly which tools you want to present to the agent. Having each MCP server implement this their own way is bad.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought that was what was going on. It would be neat if it could use its own blog, though!

Fair. I guess the thing I think is missing is having memory operations on a mandatory inner loop, both for querying and storing. In Zep, that happens external to the agent, in Letta, it's internal, but memory eval, query, & store is on the hot path of each turn.

This is neat, but I’m hesitant to work too hard at these kinds of agent files mods because it seems like the real solution is going to be a memory system similar to letta code than keeping a library of markdowns. What do you think?

This is now the 3rd case I've heard of someone who actually did this swearing it's true and everyone who hasn't done it saying there's no way it could be.

That thing where the web search tool silently fails but it pretends it didnt and continues on just assuming what the web search might have said. Seen it in Gemini Claude Code and Codex.

I saw this a lot when I was living in LA years ago. People would fabricate or wildly exaggerate connections and experiences, but over time would ultimately come to believe their lies, in a weird law of attraction way. No AI necessary.

Wooooow. Pro Move. Like… How?

In high school I did a frame-perfect Dread Pirate Roberts and got called Zorro all night. I think that was my heel turn on trying to have a recognizable costume.
