That's not what the article says though! Sectoral bargaining is effective because the union is the exclusive bargaining agent. This article says multiple unions should compete under one employer, which means no union has negotiating power, strike power, etc. It's the inverse of sectoral bargaining.

There is not a single country that has Minority Unionism, which would completely devastate unions by removing their right to exclusively bargain.

Like maybe you or the author could have spoken to people who actually know labor instead of writing garbage like this:

My first book of the year is Shoshana Zuboff's "The Age of Surveillance Capitalism" and it is incredible. We live in a time when behavioral data is particularly valuable for training AI and reinvigorating ad sales, and Zuboff's theory of technological prying and encroachment is keenly resonant.
