My sister (30 Dec) says it wouldn't bother her and she'd just assume the post anyway. As a child joint xmas-birthday presents would seem a bit unfair, but now she's all grown up that's not so much an issue...

After that I got a mouse-sized one which takes batteries, which caught an actual mouse in the attic, and then I forgot to check it for a while and found a ... rather ... sticky situation. It hasn't caught anything since and I wonder if there's a lingering eau de dead mouse, despite cleaning...

I actually largely have shrews, I don't know if they behave differently trapwise. I bought an 'Electronic Rodent Killer' from a seller called XIAXIA on Amazon DE (rat sized) and it zapped one a night for four nights, with no bait. Then I had a quiet period and lost the cable.

I had success with an electric zapper, until I lost the charge cable
I also had some plastic boxes for the garden that were supposed to keep poison safe from cats (or the other way around). (The contents got consumed so fast I gave up on them)

honestly a lot of image searches now are improved by adding before:2022 (or similar date) to the search string, but I don't know if that works with haircut websites...

I cannot get Tangfastics here in (my part of) Germany; the Starmix have a different texture; I recently noticed that the local (DE) supermarket now has two types of Goldbären next to each other, one is labelled as having fruit juice in or something and they are a bit larger and squishier
