important to keep the bar low. no slides are expected, just show up and show code and things working is totally fine. i don't want it to be a burden, just a place to show up and share cool stuff

one thing i had to get over early on was asking people directly for topics they'd like to come in to chat about. i've got no problem talking about things, but having a wider range of perspectives keeps it more sustainable

has been really nice to see what everyone's working on. have had diverse perspectives from Rust first-timers to fairly mature codebases
