you can also go to filtra.io (wink, nudge) like this link:
filtra.io?loc=&lat=0&l...

and then search the page for "Woven by Toyota"

that came up with 11 hits for me just now

keep an eye out for more coming from both Woven by Toyota and the wider community when it comes to safety-critical Rust
November 24, 2025 at 10:11 PM
as a member of the Technology & Standards group at Woven by Toyota it's my role and responsibility to "make Rust work everywhere on the car"

yes, even the areas of high safety-criticality, up to ASIL D, like brake controllers

it makes all the sense in the world, actually:
- on-par with C++ in terms of performance
- Rust helps prevent common development issues with compiler-enforced guarantees around memory-, thread-, and type-safety
- language interoperability is well-supported in the ecosystem

important to keep the bar low. no slides are expected, just show up and show code and things working is totally fine. i don't want it to be a burden, just a place to show up and share cool stuff
November 23, 2025 at 12:46 AM
one thing i had to get over early on was asking people directly for topics they'd like to come in to chat about. i've got no problem talking about things, but having a wider range of perspectives keeps it more sustainable
November 23, 2025 at 12:44 AM
has been really nice to see what everyone's working on. have had diverse perspectives from Rust first-timers to fairly mature codebases

so rather than a career of making developer tooling for devs writing assembly for IBM mainframes

i looked around and said hey i'm in Metro Detroit i should probably write software for cars
