This is... actually a fairly reasonable takeaway from this year.

All I want is a manor in the Scottish countryside, the ominous rumble of thunder in the distance, an Agatha Christie novel, a kettle on the stove, a vintage armchair, an emotional support owl, and a basket of freshly-baked pastries.

In Iceland, on Christmas Eve, people give each other books so they can spend the evening drinking cocoa & reading. It’s called, Jolabokaflod, the Christmas book flood. I’ve never been more in love with Iceland than I am right now ♥️♥️
