10. Strange Antiquities (PC). Loved this one, takes everything that was good about Strange Horticulture and improves on it. Also added a lot more content without it ever feeling like busywork. The main mystery is very satisfying to figure out. Just a perfect videogame, would not change a thing.

9. Battlefield 6 campaign (PC). Easily the worst thing I've played this year. A story with nothing to say and desperately trying not to offend anyone, characters with the personality of a wet fart, visual glitches and bugs, worst AI I have seen in a while and mind-numbingly boring objectives.

The Battlefield 6 campaign is unbelievably awful so far, but at least it has a cool little underground WW2 museum in the Gibraltar level.

8. The Alters (PC). Gorgeous game! Fantastic narrative, voice acting and writing let down by simplistic base building and an endgame where there's simply not enough to do. Also some of the worst subtitles I've ever seen in a game. Needed more time in the oven.

7. The River (PC). Lovely short story about coming to terms with dying after doing something horrible and not being able to redeem yourself. Great soundtrack and striking visuals, recommended!

6. Despolete (PC). Lovely game about Ecuador qualifying for the World Cup for the first time. Really enjoyed the dialogue of the family members and I love that the whole game is in Spanish. Did run into a few bugs, a crash and I wish you could easily replay the match after you finish the game.

5. Promise Mascot Agency (PC). A Yakuza sidequest turned into a whole game! I had a great time. A ton of interesting characters, writing is fantastic and very funny and the story was very well done. I need a Pinky t-shirt asap. And the soundtracks slaps! Best of the year so far.
