Loved this one. & if you haven't seen Benjamin Smoke, you would probably really appreciate it as well (it is sadder/heavier in tone though).

Realizing now that a lot of the belittling voices from that era are now dead. I passed through their world like a confounding blip, but their comments were like barnacles to me. Life can feel absurdly sad sometimes. I am still making art and music decades later, so I triumphed I suppose 🙃

I try to live in the present, but we are all time-travellers in our psyches, & my lizard brain collects grievances. I do wonder how much less I would struggle with anxiety and depression if there had been a few more supportive presences at that vulnerable fledgling phase
