We've fixed the permissions but now we have cert issues downloading anything. setting SSL_CERT variables doesn't seem to work. Have removed homebrew openssl links, no dice.

Indeed, things are still messed up. Trying to install something, eg devenv doesn't work yet.

With the holiday slowness, I finally have time to fix my borked nix setup! Ever since I upgraded to Sequoia, it's been completely broken. Let's see what happens.

scarf-js just hit 1M downloads/week on npm. This library used to be so controversial that we deprioritized working on it and promoting it years ago in favor of other approaches. Times have changed.
