Finished Off Season by Jack Ketchum today. What a brutal read. I didn’t take King’s quote seriously at first, but there are a couple moments from this that will unfortunately stay with me for a while.

Got to see @senlinyu.bsky.social and Avendell last night at the Alchemised Book Tour. I read SenLinYu’s Manacled in 2023 twice. So surreal to be reading the published version w/ an entire new world that she created. My fav Q&A answer was abt how the house & war are treated as their own characters.

There are small side tables and one table in the center in front of them and the tables have copies of Alchemised and fake candles. There is a white rectangular rug beneath them on the floor. Avendell is an artist who originally created art for Manacled. When you would read Manacled on AO3, many of the chapters (or all? Can’t remember) included a piece by Avendell. I love seeing women lift other women up in their success, and god knows they both deserve all of it.

Actually, I will post this! I can’t eat gluten because I have an auto-inflammatory disease. Universal is really good with food restrictions/allergies and made me feel comfortable with everything because they have such knowledgeable people behind the scenes taking care of my order.
I’m holding the bottom of a paper rectangle plate/dish which contains: Meatlug’s Chicken Bowl ($16.99). Ancient grains (replaced with sticky rice to make it gluten free), harissa spice chicken, oven-roasted Brussels, bell pepper harissa, smoked cheddar, paprika dressing.

Ordered a used copy of Tales From Out There by Frozen Ed Furtaw and was so pleasantly surprised to see that it’s signed! #bm100
