Hey. I was shown the video about you explaining "What Americans Don't Understand About Public Healthcare" recently, and I agreed pretty much wholeheartedly with it (that people aren't willing to accept what actually has to be done to achieve it).

The federal statistical agencies that are critical for government and private planning, get a measly 0.012% of GDP in funding; that's 0.05% of federal government spending. A great example of how much of a massive economic boost government spending can be (and is).

Renting is a perfectly fine option for obtaining shelter. I really wish American society didn't demonize it do much.

The #Trump administration has just made this website:

www.whitehouse.gov/mysafespace/

Yes, this is an official government website. There is no excuse to be voting Republican. Meanwhile: They refuse to immediately release court ordered emergency funds to ensure 42M people can be fed.

Disgusting.

We're Democrats in the House and Senate. We love DEI, transgender for everyone, healthcare for illegals and shutting down the government! We couldn't care less if our military gets paid or Americans' ...

The most annoying thing about this government shutdown for me, is the lack of government data availability.

Finally finding detailed data I've been looking for, and I can't download it or view it because the website(s) just aren't updating or loading in, lol.

If you want more public and non-profit housing, you have to pay much higher taxes for them; not just "the rich and wealthy". European countries didn't get the public and non-profit housing they have by just mandating private companies to build it; they did it with very high taxes and spending.

There's a far leftist that is obsessed with getting my attention now lol. They look at every social media site I am on, and my activity in these places.

I know you will see this: Hello! Enjoying the life of pain and suffering from being in a constant state of rage? I'm enjoying your obsession, lol.

In case you need more proof of why willful ignorance is bad. They're rejecting the truthfulness of their own sources now, and are instead leaning on the words of a politician they happen like.

And you've got the blatant anti-intellectualism too; disregarding actual research done by experts.
October 13, 2025 at 7:56 AM
This here, is a great example of what willful ignorance looks like.

Sourcing commentary articles and opinion pieces, is not proof of anything. If those who are actually serious about learn why a problem exists, and how to resolve the problem: Do proper research into stuff; not read populist news.

More #sketch #art. And I really need to relearn how to trust the process.

I'm gonna be making new lore for my #OC. I just might even have entirely new OCs.

State secession is not happening.

States seceding will not make anybody richer.

There is no such thing as a blue or red state.

Please stop with this pipedream of blue states forming their own utopias please.

The USA is overly localized. In my state alone, there are 3,400 local governments. 3,400.

In the USA as a whole, there are over 90,000 local governments. I don't think people understand just how severely kneecapping this level of fracturing is to our ability to effectively do crap on this country.

I keep getting news about a #NYC to #LA #HSR line that crosses the entire country.

This is a deeply unrealistic proposal. Assuming a completely perfectly straight line, going 150 mph from the moment of departure to arrival, it'd take 16 hours to complete.

New York State recently announced a "plan" for #NYS to revamp #transportation within the state.

www.governor.ny.gov/news/governo...

This is just a draft, but it doesn't say anything about how much funding will actually be dedicated for stuff. I'm hoping they lay out that detail in the full plan.

I've had a second #OC that I haven't at all drawn any concept art for yet; but I do finally have a name for him: Trico Ultilores

Trico = Mischiefmaker/Trickster

Ulti = Taken from "Ultio", the Roman god of vengeance

lore = Taken from "Dolores", the Roman god(s?) of pain and distress

Friendly reminder to fellow #progressives in the #USA:

You cannot fund an expansive welfare system, high quality infrastructure, and high quality government services, without high taxes on EVERYONE.

There's a reason why every EU country has very high taxes on everyone to fund themselves.

Trump cuts funding for food banks and canceled scheduled deliveries that would've fed nearly 1M people in Delaware alone.

For the people who didn't vote or voted for him: This is what you've let happen.

The Trump Admin has repealed funding for mental health and drug addiction treatment.

These are issues that Republicans supposedly care about a lot, saying they're the "real problem" behind our gun violence crisis.

Remember this next time you vote in any election.

Trump team revokes $11 billion in funding for addiction, mental health care
The Trump administration says it hopes to save $11.4 billion by freezing and revoking COVID-era grants. Addiction experts say clawing back the federal funding is risky and could put patients at risk.

Given all of the budget cuts this administration is doing, and the clear abuse that Democratically controlled states are facing, it's time for us to start raising our own revenues more so we can fund our own investments.

We know now that we can't rely on the federal government to fund our futures.

I'm cutting Reddit out of my life. I've realized it's become the replacement drug for me after Twitter.

I like talking tax policy and crap like that, but Reddit ain't the place for it. Way too many ignorant people. I feel like Blue Sky is the last bastion left for sane, proper conservations.

Friendly reminder to all people of the internet:

Not every comment needs a response. A lot of times, it is better for your time, energy, and mental health, to just block and move on. You're not weak for not engaging with bad people who want to argue. Blocking somebody isn't a weak move.
