at first, it was really sad to realize that my job could never give me purpose or meaning in life. but things are changing, i feel like i could just try to take things as they are: programming for the sake of it and making enough money to live. and that's all. i like the activity more now.

these ai companies have the worst software engineers or just shitty management. they’re sitting on billions from vcs but can’t build an editor like cursor or a fast chat app like t3.

just started counting hours when learning something new. first 50 or 60 hours suck with little payoff. it’s tempting to overthink if it’s worth it and quit. the fun stuff only hits once you’re past that hump and can actually do something cool.

The 0.12 version will have support for `textDocument/documentColor` LSP capability. It will be able to visualize the actual color next to its reference in text (like #112233 string). Needs LSP server that supports the capability.

"What is that? What even is that?"

"Mom, how did we get so rich?"

"Your dad was a first-gen vibe coder. But that didn’t pay the bills, so he touched grass, learned real programming, blocked all AI, and clocked into a 9-to-5 like a legend."

Originally conceived as an initiative within Twitter by Jack Dorsey, Bluesky was supposed to transform Twitter from a closed platform to an open protocol-based network.

this is sick! first-class animation support in React. it uses the browser API under the hood but there’s cool subtle details about how the integration works. for example, it delays Effects (until the transition finishes) and batches multiple pending transitions in one (if many get queued too fast).
Today we're sharing that View Transitions and Activity are ready to try in the experimental channel, along with docs and updates on other areas we're actively working on:
