Except, of course, it’s *not* all he can say.

Cassidy could concede publicly that confirming Kennedy was a tragic mistake. He could call for RFK Jr's resignation. He could schedule hearings, haul the secretary to Capitol Hill, and demand the CDC’s public resources reflect the scientific cannon.
TAPPER: You were the deciding vote that allowed RFK Jr to ascend to the role of Health Secretary. Did you give him too much credit?

CASSIDY: The fact is the scientific community agrees that vaccines are safe. That's all I can say.

Mike Pence has one facial expression and one posture.
There is a non-zero chance that Karen Pence brought a Mike Pence mannequin to the funeral.
(There is also a non-zero chance that Karen Pence is married to a Mike Pence mannequin.)
Mike Pence is always just so Mike Pence.

Is it worse to defend someone you know is guilty in court at trial with the goal of that person being found not guilty, or to negotiate a plea bargain that will certainly entail a less severe punishment than what would be generated by being found guilty at trial?

If the administration is open about accepting and being responsive to bribes, why should corporations not be open about availing themselves of the opportunities presented?
The reason we have laws* against bribery is that companies will absolutely bribe politicians at the very first opportunity if it is good for the bottom line, because they see it as a sound business decision, not a civilizational betrayal.

Maybe because Senate Democrats wanted to fly home for Thanksgiving!

all those principled conservatives cutting ties with Heritage over Kevin Roberts' support of Tucker Carlson maybe should have read his book last year and cut ties then

It is also wild that the same person who wrote that passage considers the Heritage Foundation the "intellectual backbone" of the conservative movement.
it's utterly wild how the Heritage Foundation president talks about other people

if you found a guy talking like this outside, you'd probably call the cops

You can say that IKF should have had a bigger lead off third, but that also would have increased the chances of a double play if Varsho had hit a line drive at an infielder.

So here's Andrew Cuomo reacting to Maria Bartiromo wondering if Mamdani will "change the look of New York" and have Muslim women "completely covered up," telling her that Mamdani "doesn't understand New York culture" because he has "dual citizenship" and "he's a citizen of Uganda."
