sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

every time i hear about something apple tv is doing it seems like their entire strategy is to just hand piles of money to creatives and let them cook and its clearly working

im sure the this extends to cities outside of vancouver but the tone of politics 'round here post-Mamdani are insufferable because it's almost entirely "well nobody is as charismatic as he is" and im just like man why are you so eager to keel over

i know that nuclear option is entirely focused on planes but i feel like not being able to use vehicles or at the very least not having as much control over them feels like a missing link. it's the best depiction of combined arms ive seen in a game, so why not let us play as the other arms

i'm playing a legally obtained copy of pokemon za and maybe it gets better over time but right now this is genuinely so handholdy and over the top in its refusal to let you wander that it could genuinely be considered anti-intellectual game design

"b-but the cost per hour" is a genuinely insane way to think about games in general. imagine thinking this about movies. "you're actually saving money by watching longer movies at theaters that's the only thing that matters treat everything as an investment"
AAA video games should cost $100 on launch. this would still be extremely cheap for the amount of time and enjoyment you get out of them! But an audience of whiny babies has kept them literally at the same price for *two decades* despite both general inflation *and* sector-specific costs rising

Yep we sure are and if you don’t agree you are just a whiny chud gamer just think about the “content per hour” that’s a completely normal cool way to think about art or any piece of media it’s to think about how much money per hour you are getting and thinking like a business man
