Neither of them got their heads kicked in by Florida State or were held to negative rushing yards for a game. Also, both were conf champions and the only team that could get in over them was a 4 loss Duke.

One time, we traveled up to NOLA for a Bucs game. We sat in an all Saints area. It got violent. Not with us but with the pro-Brooks and anti-Brooks NOLA fan base. It was wild.

It was naive to think the bowl games would become anything more than glorified jamborees once we started down this path. You can kick and scream and rage against the dying light all you want but bowl games have been rendered impotent.
