It's so hard sometimes. Just had a similar experience so I feel for you. My (also autistic) partner and I went to the museum yesterday, something we'd wanted to do since we moved back here almost 2 years ago. We left after less than 10 minutes because we were so overwhelmed. Took hours to recover.
