I did so mid-Jan. One sentence reply about trying to keep surviving. I did it again last Thursday. No reply.
I know they are overwhelmed and it is hard time. It could just be that, but either way I just have to wait until my friend has the capacity to communicate again.

It’s now February, and I haven’t seen or had spontaneous contact from this friend in about six weeks - big change from every few days. I know times are rough for them, but I’m really afraid I destroyed one of my most valued friendships and I’m devastated. #autistic #neurodivergentfriendship

After I spent some time recovering and thinking through the text exchange, I messaged again to explain that I did not at all mean to apply emotional blackmail and I was so sorry my text had caused distress. I received a brief assurance of understanding, and a generic see you after the holidays
