The Trump Administration recently proposed ESA rules that make it easier for corporations to push through environmentally destructive projects. These changes will have disastrous effects, pushing wildlife towards extinction.

17 wolves have been killed in MT's hunting season. These wolves are more than just numbers - they each played vital roles in their packs, symbolized resilience, and served as keystone species.

This is an important reminder of what could happen in other states if wolves lose federal protections.

⚠️ House Republicans’ new FY26 bill would slash EPA & Fish & Wildlife funding and gut the Endangered Species Act, stripping protections from gray wolves, grizzlies, wolverines & more.

This is a direct attack on wildlife, ecosystems, and public health. We must speak out.

Killing wolves to stop livestock attacks doesn't work. In fact, research suggests it could result in an increase in attacks. Killing wolves is counterproductive, cruel, and unsustainable. Non-lethal methods are more effective. #ProtectWolves #StandforWolves

Endangered wolves are still being killed in Colorado. On May 31, male wolf 2507 was found dead — the 8th reintroduced wolf to die since 2023.

Just days earlier, CPW killed a yearling from the Copper Creek pack to appease ranchers. Colorado, your wolves deserve better. #ProtectWolves

Another wolf in Colorado is dead, but wildlife officials haven’t said how yet
The cause of death will follow a necropsy by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The male from British Columbia and was released in Colorado in January.

Among the countless federal workers that could be (+ are) impacted by the hiring freezes are Dept. of Interior, National Park Service, + USFWS employees. These new orders will leave parks + species recovery teams understaffed, thus impacting the very animals we're working to save.

Will the Endangered Species Act survive Trump?

TLDR; probably not

We can expect language changes that weaken the ESA, species delistings based on political pressure instead of science, + eliminating species specialists who would inform ESA decisions.
Will the Endangered Species Act survive Trump?
President Trump has already begun to introduce changes that weaken the Endangered Species Act, a cornerstone of U.S. conservation law.
