The story “Shadow and Thirst” in CORPSEMOUTH @johnlangan.bsky.social is so damn good, and it made me think of a Stephen Crane poem, which I then wrote on the story’s last page.

Read this back in August before it published, immediately preordered the hardcover, and now listening as @joshmalerman.bsky.social performs it. A must for all writers, especially we writers of horror: this book is inspiring, motivational, and so damn refreshing.
