As an indie author, I feel ya, but cold dropping a link in a popular author’s comments is bad form. You got to work with other authors on your level, maybe trade books so you can boost each other’s work. It’s hard out here, but you need to advertise in better ways.

I also think there’s an issue where people have conflated comfort with morality, and “this thing makes me uncomfortable” becomes “this thing is bad”.
