why don’t flood warnings have a common convention for severity level? I’m used to seeing many warnings without ever seeing any flooding, so I can imagine it being easy for somebody to ignore notifications.

I ended up caving and migrating to Readwise - the ability to import from Pocket and export to Obsidian was too good to resist
This really is too bad. One of the projects on my to-do list was a Pocket CLI tool - guess I'll cross that one off the list. If you have replacements please share!

I just don't understand why you would assume people are coming to their beliefs insincerely, by first assessing where the aggregate of their views would be placed in the political spectrum.
Self-identifying as a centrist is perhaps the most cynical and amoral political identity you can have because you're just openly admitting your beliefs aren't really beliefs they're just strategic positions that only exist relative to others in the room you happen to be in
