I think if you name a digital media platform “truth social“… you should probably, entirely only post facts… Otherwise, the thing is a spectacular fail… And the utmost in hypocrisy

Today, she does not one round (of 4) tunnels, but two.
Today, she fails her first leap, somewhat succeeds the second, nails the third. Leaping = jumping into my arms, 4-5ft away, from a height of 2-3ft up.
Today, on leaping round two: THREE OF THREE PERFECT!
So. damn. proud. of. her.

A month ago, started working with her on 'tunnel' : passing through a pair of tires, fixed in the earth. Not a skill she picked up readily. Now she can do four in a row, without error.
She likes to jump atop the tires, and then rest her forepaws on me.
So worked on leaping, these past 2 weeks.

This doggo, have had her since she was 3mo old.
The first puppy I've raised on my own.
From the start, she clambered over sofas like a seasoned sherpa--nicknamed her Little Lynx.
Experimented with agility training, early this year.
She took to it like a hand-to-glove.

Much to think about, and parse, here:
--seems like UPS is benefitting from miscalculating
--no oversight of the duty-collection yields errors everywhere
--U.S. postal system not designed, staffed, etc. to address the change
--continues to beg the question: WHERE does all the money GO?

Why invest in this way?

Ecological restoration:
--provides jobs
--robustly develops community
--provides adolescents education & involvement
--acts locally, thinking globally
--improves local health (physical and psychological)
--is immediately visible
--gets people outdoors (all the benefits)

National Parks have reduced staff, due to federal governance shutdown. Such a critical element of preservation, these parks, yet remain grossly underfunded.

Were we to make America great again, one big step : invest enormously in fully funding National Parks and ecological restoration.

Are we attracted to superpowers (flight, telepathy, etc) out of a substitution for control?
In the sense that, when we feel so powerless in different situations, thinking ‘if I just had powers, it would solve my problems’. . and then using superpowered entertainment for that unattainable fantasy?

Something frustrating:
as a species, we’ve been fully socially function for several thousand years. . .
. . we’ve developed vaccines
. . . we’ve developed solar power
. . . we’ve developed sustainable agriculture
. . . we’ve developed diplomacy
. . . yet we still fight each other?

Fictional information is not new, not by several centuries.
Digital access just allows it to spread immediately.
Immediate dispersion, long-term sociocultural consequences.

This trend pushes teens to skip showers or use dubious products in hopes of attracting romantic attention. Here’s what parents need to know—and how to talk about it.

Traveling often provides insight. . .
. . .a change in perspective foists the mind to step back, ponder. . .
. . .and unfold.

One more step, fully complete today, towards drastic change.
How often are any of us willing to ‘dig in’(invest) for meaningful self, ecological, economic, or social change?
How often do we sustain such, towards the desired outcome?
It is easier to quit, than persevere.

Worth a read, and considering with self-reflection on where each of us are at in terms of conformation:

I think there is a direct correlation between:
—how we move ourselves when in crowded places
—how we drive on freeways and highways

A great deal of solace these past 2-3wk, coming home after work, picking the dog up, and going for a 45-60min run on forest trails. . .or just being home after work, enjoying dinner, and going for the run. Not feeling like I'm giving up something to make exercise happen: that's relief.

Nationalism, patriotism seem heady labels of late.
I can’t think of anything more patriotic than stewardship.
Loving, having pride in one’s country but doing nothing to steward its sociocultural and ecological sustainability. . . that’s nothing but entitlement and arrogance.

Consider what our lives would look like if we consistently abided by consensual, socially-sustainable agreements.

Consider how much potential conflict would be eliminated.

Consider how many of our insecurities would be eliminated.

Consider how we might socio-economically evolve. 8/n

We know from consistent research, both clinical and anecdotal:
--unresolved confusion drives fear development
--unresolved fear drives anger development
--unresolved anger drives self-loathing and/or rage development

Living by consensual, socially-sustainable agreements nips this in the bud. 7/n

'thou shall not bear false witness. . ' - practice honesty (tactful giving & receiving) consistently

'thou shall not covet. . .' - both of these are about practicing appreciating what we have, abolishing greed (driven by envy)

'thou shall not commit adultery' - practice loyalty & effective communication regarding needs; always employ consent

'thou shall not steal' - easier said than done in certain economic systems; effectively don't take advantage of each other (i.e. greed is problematic) 5/n

How truly difficult is abiding by these simple, socially sustainable guidelines put forth:

'honor thy father and mother' - when reasonable, engage & support those who raise us (gender non-specific)

'thou shall not kill' - presumably each other, work towards peaceful outcomes (discomfort, too) 4/n

While I'm not religious, consider the ten commandments: they are a type of social contract (i.e. 'norms'). Ignoring the monotheistic components, those commandments are essentially sustainable social self-governance guidelines.
They are grounded in practicality. 3/n
June 26, 2025 at 7:24 PM
We reduce conflict by agreeing upon expectations. Some groups call these 'norms' or 'social contracts' or 'group guidelines'. Consensual development & agreement of social expectations is an element of sustainable, more peaceful social culture because 'consent' involves each person's agency. 2/n
