National Guard troops don't sign up to be used as political pawns. They sign up to serve their country, not needlessly deploy to American cities to pick up garbage. These two soldiers should be alive right now and at home with their families for Thanksgiving. I'm furious.

ICE is using a new app called Mobile Fortify to scan people's faces and determine their immigration status.

The government's use of biased, unreliable facial recognition tech to supercharge its mass deportation campaign endangers all of our rights.

ICE and CBP are smashing their way not only through car windows but also through any constraints on the use of face recognition

1. Nearly every transgender person walks this earth knowing people like us who are no longer with us.

In writing about transgender people every day, I hold in my heart the people who are now our ancestors, and I try to bring their light forward.

These are the people I'm remembering today.
The People I Remember On This Trans Day Of Remembrance
Elisa Shupe, Lia Smith, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, and so many more names are worth remembering today.

On this Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the trans people lost to violence in the U.S. this year.

Widespread poverty, homelessness, and discrimination makes trans people 4x more likely to experience violence than the average person.

We shouldn’t have to live in fear to be who we are.

Being respectful shouldn’t be this hard.

213 House members, incl. @mcbride.house.gov + @repmarktakano.bsky.social, urged Speaker Mike Johnson to condemn anti-trans rhetoric from members of Congress: https://www.washingtonblade.com/2025/11/18/house-asks-speaker-johnson-condemn-anti-trans-rhetoric/

It’s kinda wild the President is openly corrupt, Nazi sympathizing, and very likely a pedophile—and most Republicans in Congress are still willing to ignore the Constitution whenever he asks.

Police have hundreds of reasons to stop drivers — reasons that are too often abused to target people of color and undermine Fourth Amendment freedoms.

Traffic stops unrelated to road safety, for violations like tinted windows or an expired registration, are unnecessary and only breed police abuse.
Why Police Traffic Stops Are Dangerous and Ineffective | ACLU
Millions of drivers are pulled over every year for minor violations like broken taillights or tinted windows. Data shows these stops rarely make roads safer, and instead lead to racial disparities, violence, and loss of trust in police.

Pour one out for all the rich Republicans who threatened to leave NYC if Mamdani won. Enjoy Tennessee or Arkansas-- I'm sure it will be very fulfilling and the social life will be totally comparable!
