I wanted a more flexible mounting arrangement so I could adjust the height and tilt angle and have easier access to the back of the case - ended up using a TV/monitor wall mount attached to the upper synth rack arms. Time to migrate my modules to the new case...

I've been working on a new eurorack case the past couple weeks.

Just discovered that @mofox.bsky.social is here, so there's a link to their account. Again, absolutely amazing character design:

Back in the earlier days of the internet ('95), I stumbled across the newsgroup alt.fan.dragons. It was life changing - for the first time in my life, I felt at home with other people. I don't recall having a word for it back then, but today we'd say most members were dragonkin or therian.

I can confirm, being fluff dragon makes life very zesty

I've managed to resist the temptation of modular until this summer when my son got me a Vhikk X module.

Naturally, I had to grab a few other modules to help add some motion to the various parameters.

I built my own case so I could mount my Minitaur and Schrittmacher next to the modules.

I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since I got an old organ for free to gut and convert into a little synth desk. It makes me happy every time I use it.

Me: A patch bay will clean up this awful tangle of cables.

My partner seeing my new setup: That's what we call a rat's nest at work!
🤦

Little did I know, patch bays _quadruple_ the cable mess while condensing it down into a smaller volume that's (mostly) hidden from view.
