I've spent my life in the southern USA, but my people aren't from around here.
Older than the Pope.

My favorite thing about this image from 25 Nov 2025
is that THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS 4-BUS SITUATION HAD OCCURRED.

Back a generation, when celery was a bit of a novelty in the prairies, there were the flat dishes of relishes, but also one or two fancy CELERY VASES on the table. At Grandma's house, this continued through the 1960s.

Celery glasses and footed cake stands were marks of a serious hostess.

Also, if you're in the Windows world, their Snipping Tool has a swell new tool to convert words inside an image into actual text.

Hit the Snipping Tool and select your image.
Then click the icon marked at top here,
& click COPY ALL TEXT.
Then paste the text and adjust the formatfing as needed.

These skulls denote Yarrrn Users: the crossbones are needles or hooks. Many users "knit so they do not kill people," and their sticks can be sharp, so watch yourself!

NOT determinative of Nazis (altho some Nazis do enjoy fiber crafts). In fact, like Mme. Defarge, many users are antiauthoritarian

And ALL THE CONNIE WILLIS. Of all her time-travel work, the 1982 novelette FIRE WATCH was the most searing for me. (This memorial is in Canterbury, not London, but it certainly brought me to tears.)

Go where you may in life, the Alumni Association will find you.

For those reading along, your year of birth can make a difference. If you don't want to take the time and money to get your titers tested, this is a starting point. (Graphic from pediatrician Kim Burlingham, more info at www.consumerreports.org/measles/do-y... )

On the 333rd Anniversary of the Salem Witch Trials, Robyn Pennacchia spoke my mind.

(This is just a quick little item in her Saturday Tabs post today, but it was enough to pull me up short.)

Let me count the ways...)
