I made some winter skirts a few years ago, and I highly recommend them:
-thrift a Queen sized flannel sheet
-cut in half and sew together
-sew in an elastic waistband
It's literally a skirt made of blankets. Add a belt, and you can hide the elastic waistband. Add boots, and its a LOOK
