@columeastwood I’m a nurse that believes everyone has the right to a peaceful, pain free dignified death. We need to properly support & grow our palliative care services and pass the assisted dying bill. The two are not mutually exclusive & we needs our reps to push for both

Today we published an assessment of manifesto pledges on #IrishUnity made ahead of next week’s general #election.
The Commission wrote to leaders earlier this month asking them to make a clear commitment to unity as an objective of government.

🇪🇺 Securing European Parliament Representation for the North has been something I’ve campaigned on long before I was elected. With the help of Ciaran White and Frank Costello we secured Belfast City Council support. Today the SDLP will bring that campaign to the NI Assembly.

Worked Covid in most amazing team of respiratory nurses-care outstanding,returned a few times “post” Covid - morale down,extra “corridor” beds,increased staff stress,so overwhelmed care couldn’t possibly be the same exemplary standard. Least they deserve is pay parity,winter not even peaked yet 😢
