OMG, so it's not just me. I'm not sure if I feel more angry or relieved. I thought my dyslexia got real, real bad.

there are several mutual aid groups around town trying to help keep our neighbors fed & housed. food not bombs has several distros around the city, giving away groceries, serving hot food, and providing other needs. cashapp is $steelcityfnb but cash is king and you can donate at any distro

A big thing healthy folks struggle to understand is that “perfect behavior” doesn’t get rid of the pain.

For ex: we CAN make ourselves even more sick by stuff like getting dehydrated, being perfectly hydrated doesn’t make the pain go away.
& illness can make it very hard to stay hydrated.

You can also look up aids that people with their condition find helpful. But everyone is ready to use things on their own timeline & they cant be pushed or rushed.

A shower chair was very helpful & easy for me, but a walker was emotionally hard.

On a lower pain day, ask to talk about planning for high pain days.

The plan doesn't have to be perfect or permanent. Just stuff to try. Try to keep it to only a couple things. You can try others later.

Pain is hard & not anyone's fault.
Try to remember no one fails when it's still there.

I'm a chronic illness & pain sufferer. I have some tips, if you'd like them.
