I am a technical environment artist and I want to share my work and some game art tips with you.
Works ... was a bit fiddly, but finally got it to work with #PCG. Will port this to Geometry Script, since I would like to have a regular static mesh for performance reasons.

I guess I will also write a tiny tiny article about how to utilize mesh sockets to be used in #PCG.

Currently working on a powerline tool with #PCG in #UE5. I am now able to extract Static Mesh Sockets as PCG Points, but the next step needs some polish I guess :D

This might count as generative design ^^

I was today years old when I learned how to colorize messages when printing them to the log using blueprints. You simply have to add 'Error:' or 'Warning:' in front of the string. Dayum.

Hope this helps someone 😀

Super specific #techart tip for you guys using #unrealengine and creating custom tools with #python (or C++).

When you want to add a custom menu entry to the UI and you need to find the menu name, you can open the ToolsMenu window with the this console command:

Nearly two decades later, avoiding Twitter and most social media, I’m giving it a try. Bluesky might be my platform :D

To start, I'll share some "old" posts, beginning with a trick for using UV data in creative ways and store data 🤌
