Petdrugsonline.co.uk, Zooplus are both good. The former has his vet diet at best price I've found.

Really hope he recovers and if it does happen again, there is a surgical option beyond unblocking. He may need to be on the food for life though, to ensure no more crystals occur.

with Feliway and Zylkene. Get painkillers: liquid Rheumocam or Metacam tastes nice, really helps at earliest sign if cystitis eg urine drops left on furniture. Can knock it on the head.

Cheaper helpful stuff: play, keeping him entertained, catTV on YouTube

Once vet food sorted (you know he tolerates it AND that it works, might need urine tests) look online as pretty much guaranteed cheaper than vet. Get supplements online too, much cheaper than vet. Don't beat yourself up, it's hard right now.

Strongly suggest prioritising destressing him cont.

Also 2g chia seeds soaked in 20ml water overnight, plus polyethylene glycol powder to prevent constipation caused by the wet vet food. I also have a fountain and add 3 or 4 tblsp water to every meal for him. oh, and 1/4tsp ground psyllium husk powder in his food too.

Oh, your poor boy. Mine's had this since he was 1. Now all controlled but here's what helped: prescription food (££), litter he liked (Cat's Best), feliway diffuser, cystease/cystophan dietary supplement daily, Zylkene capsule daily. It's not cheap but he hasn't had an issue in years now.

I mean, it boosted my dopamine levels so maybe it really does belong there!

That's stunning, I love it!

Same! I've been able to hoover downstairs and haven't overheated once. It feels glorious!

The price of some of them! Reads more like a Sunday Times Style feature than dear old Graun. Get off my lawn!

I look like a Simpson mug shot: yellow and dazed.

I stole the cat's cooling mat days ago.

I put out water year round, but in this heatwave it's being used by hedgehogs, birds, insects - all sorts. With no puddles, it'll be really good for the foxes

They'll find food but the fresh water will be a huge help to them

Exactly that. My linen outfits from 10 years ago are all that's standing between me and heatstroke right now

Worth it, IMHO. They'll last for ever and you'll be so happy at past you every time it's hot enough to wear them.
