An unqualified former Fox host, accused in an affidavit of being "abusive" toward his second wife, of being perpetually drunk, and allegedly screaming "Kill all Muslims! Kill all Muslims!" just got confirmed as the US Defense Secretary (!) by a tie-break vote in the Senate.

It appears that Trump is fixated on punishing the agencies and individuals (Dr Fauci) he blames for his own failures during the the COVID pandemic -- failures that cost him re-election. Now he's lashing out by essentially canceling all federally backed research. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

We are essentially hostages to Trump's inability to emotionally process ordinary defeat and disappointment. And 76 million voters handed him the keys to wreck the whole country in one giant tantrum he thinks will erase his history of failure. Watch him try to reverse his impeachments, too.
