There’s so much disgusting muck in our daily lives. I’m trying my hardest to be ever so much more appreciative of the good stuff, like being welcomed into an elementary school library for a daylong visit with hundreds of earnest readers.

Sure, all the cool kids are gathering in Boston for NCTE. But here in NJ, I am tidying my office in preparation for some work I will surely start soon, I have tunes, and a sweet visitor keeping me company.
